I just received my scorpion and it is a very striking jet black. I would recommend this arachnid who takes interest in them.

I've got 1 adult female & 9 young that are right at 3 months old now. While these guys look intimidating they really dont ever try to sting you but they will pinch you if you back them into a corner. They need fairly high humidity & temps but do not need UVA or UVB lighting, in fact it will kill them. So I just use a 15 watt fish tank bulb for viewing. They eat crickets but since they can't run fast enough to catch them I hit the crickets over the head with the giant tongs & drop them in front of the scorpion. They only eat 1-2x per week. I gave 4 stars due to the fact that they're nocturnal thus not very active to view during waking hours unless you disturb them. But overall I think they're a neat pet & I'm 52 yrs old!
